About Me

jennsmileI’m not your average 35 year old girl.  You probably won’t ever find me sitting at a desk, counting down the minutes until the weekend.  Instead, you’ll find me sweaty in the trails,  near the top of a mountain peak, taking lazy walks beside the river, or juggling around my nursing jobs in order to make room for an exciting adventure.   There’s something different about me.  I dare to dream.  I strive to paint bright, curvy squiggly lines on my masterpiece of a canvas we call life.

jennnurseI’m continuously on a journey of self-discovery; an adventure of a lifetime.  This blog is a story of just that; my inspirations I discover along the way.  My ups and downs of this rollercoaster we call life.  I feel that I’m here for a reason, being inspired to share my experiences with you.  I have a zest for life that I just want to share.  I have a passion to make everyone realize their highest potential, to live their life out of the ordinary in order to let their soul feel free and alive.  We all have beautiful talents and I believe I’m here to help you discover your biggest strengths, to believe in them and take them so far you’ll know you’ve created your dream life.

jennhikeOur goal in life is to en-JOY, to discover our own passions in order to bring about greatness in the world with our connectedness to others.  Life is all about relationships and doing what makes us FEEL GOOD. Anything really is possible!  Ignite your passion and follow your BLISS.  Dream big and create the life you’ve always imagined!

IMG_6234Thank you for following me on this journey.  I hope that I’m able to inspire you to reach your greatest potential. I’m definitely striving for mine.

– Love Jenn

I think you’re beautiful inside and out, your energy and enthusiasm for life and getting out there and living it is incredibly uplifting and inspiring.
Your blog is my heart starter for the day! Thanks for being a great role model…………………… :) and I’m so glad you came to Australia and had a good time while you were here. Cheers beautiful woman, all the best and blessings galore on your journey. With Love, Kasia.

  6. stumble upon your website thru lulu. and i love you already!!! ambitious, visionary, adventurer, and a yogini! :)) (i’m exact same way)!! except for the running marathons part…i’m still trying to figure out if i can run a half or not… :( anyway, just wanted to say hi xx from your new reader!

  7. thanks for the encouragement! i’m gonna sign up for the see jane run half in june. :) btw, i so want to do medical relief as well. during my first yr of med school, i went back to the philippines to do medical mission. amazing. now i want to be a certified yoga teacher so i can travel, do medical mission as well as yoga!

  8. WOW! Your website is so very inspriring!

I found your through the Lululemon blog, which I read everyday!

I think everything you have to say on this website is so amazing and agree with so much of it. It has actually inspired me to create my own blog, set my goals, and run like the wind, obviously do yoga too! I am actually a marathoner as well, but it is so hard sometimes to get my butt off the couch and get out for a run in this -20 degree east coast winter we have been having!

Anyways, thank you for writing such awesomse stuff on here and I enjoy following it. I love your 40 day challenges as they help to challenge me as well!

  9. Very inspiring! After reading your bucket list I am going to try and organize some friends to have a bucket list making party this weekend!! I’m usually really good at setting goals and motivating myself to reach them, friends call me the energizer bunny, but lately injuries have left me with the winter blues and feeling de-charged. Now I really want to get out there and do a lot of the things on your list. One to add (pretty sure it wasn’t mentioned) is hiking the Rainbow Lake trail in Whistler and camping over night at Hanging Lake – just make sure you go later in the summer! We attempted last June but it was still too early and we lost the trail in the snow. After two hours of trying to find it in a valley of snow wearing running shoes and shorts we gave up and had to hike all the way home again. It was well worth it for the adventure, but next time it would be nice to camp!

    • That’s awesome!! A bucket list night – I love it!! Sounds like something I would do!! haha.. sorry to hear about your injuries – I know how it feels!! And thanks for the tip on Rainbow Lake. Never done it, but now it’s on the list! Thanks!!!!

  10. I recently came across your blog and I want to thank you for being who you are. All the things you’ve done and all the things you plan to do are all so inspiring and the fact that you manage to do it all with such a positive attitude is amazing. I’ve been going through as stressful time in my life and have been wanting to do so many things as well but just haven’t gotten to them yet. Reading what you have to say just motivates me to move, smile, and give back. So keep writing, keep smiling, and keep inspiring others. Thank you and I will continue to read your blog regularly.

Wow..this is SO powerful and super awesome… I found this like I don’t know, 12 pages in:D Like a good book I couldn’t stop reading once I started. You are full of good vibes and it translates through your writing. Unreal-LOVES it! Going through a tricky time right now, and I was absolutely brought here for a reason. I’m going to post this quote right above my computer. Thanks for sharing and keep the energy flowing…..

  14. AMAZING! This is a truly inspirational blog!
I find myself in some similar situations in life; recent break-up, working my way towards nursing school, while trying to feed my own soul, and focus who I want to become. A lot of ups and downs to say the least. But I am so grateful to have stumbled upon such a beautiful reminder of how wonderful every day can be… And that there is limitless possibility for a brilliant future!

I will be spreading the word about your blog! Thank you Jenn!

    • Thank you Meg!!! It helps so much when you are going through hard times with someone who’s either been there or they are right next to you going through it too- so I’m glad that I can help you through some of my rough times!! Thank you for reading and for spreading the word!!! THANK YOU!! :)

  16. I discovered your blog through the Lulu site and as I have read through your blog…your entire blog..every entry, I have developed quite the crush on your zest for life. You take huge, mouth overflowing bites out of life and it is in a word…inspiring. I have even taken notes from your blog, maybe hoping that some of your purity of intention could somehow start me on my own path. I cannot thank you enough for your daily inspirational email and wish you all of the best things.

    • Wow!! Thank you Alison!! I love it.. mouth overflowing bites of life!!! YES!!! Thank YOU for taking the time to write this.. it means so much! And THANK YOU for reading!!!!

  17. Hey JT! I also found your blog off of the Lulu website. Couldn’t stop reading it until I was caught up to present day! :D I am two weeks away from finishing my own nursing degree, starting to get into Yoga, and an avid runner with dreams of qualifying for Boston someday :)
Other than inspiring me to do my own 40 day challenge, and create a goals list for short and long-term, I really want to try snowshoeing / snowshoe running. Do you have any suggestions where I can buy some snowshoes? (Keeping in mind student on a budget still). Are there any used or warehouse stores?
Thanks for being such a role model! Keep on blogging! :)

    • THanks Brittni!! Congrats on almost being DONE!! I know how hard that program is… man it must feel so good to be so close!!! YES to Boston!! Best experience of my life!! I HOPE you make it there! Definitely add that to your bucket list – it is a must!!! As for snowshoes, the best for running (I’m biased because I love them) is Atlas. I totally understand the student budget – so probably your best bet is to look for sales this time of year. Even maybe on the atlas website, or at REI/MEC. Or even try posting it on craigslist that you’re looking for some. You never know what people are getting rid of!! But definitely ATLAS! Run series… my favoruite. They’re super light and thin making it easier to run with. GOOD LUCK on the search! And CONGRATS on being so close!!! YahoOOOO!!!!

  18. I’m at a point of great transition in my life and feel the same desire to let myself be free and experience the BIGGER parts of our world. I admire you and your journey to help people become more aware of themselves and their potential, as I very much would like to do the same in the field of wellness and nutrition. Any insight would be amazing. I think you’re an inspiration. I am now a daily follower!!

  19. In order to be irreplaceable one must always be different !!! :)

  23. Jenn, I stumbled across your blog by chance and am so happy I did. Your positivity has really inspired me.
