I need your help!

When I signed up for this race, the Ride to Conquer Cancer, I thought it would be a great opportunity to spend some time with my sister, in a fun environment for a good cause. Funny how things change.  How when you ask for more, how when you expect it – you get it.  How inspiration and passion can come out of left field.

The more and more I’ve been talking about this ride, the more and more stories are making their way to the surface.  Friends, close friends, have shared their stories with me.  Personal stories, whom I might not have heard if I hadn’t spiked the conversation. Stories which want to make me kick this disease in the ass for good.  I’ve just become more aware.  More passionate.  As if I’m doing this ride for everyone I know.  My patients, friends, family, you name it.  EVERYONE.  I guess you could say there’s a little bit of anger behind this passion that has been built.  But in a good way.  A fuel that just might be the start of something good.  Who knows.  But all I can say, is thank you to all who’ve shared your stories, and THANK YOU to everyone who has supported me in this cause.

I’ve almost reached my goal of $2500, benefiting the BC Cancer Foundation.  So far, with friends and family support, I’ve raised a whopping $1,773!!  Crazy, I know!  Thank you!

I’m $727 away from my goal.

So this is where I need your help!  If I’ve inspired you through my words and stories over the years with this blog, please take a moment to donate.  I need your support!  (Probably my biggest challenge is asking for help – ask anyone who knows me well – it is hard for me to do!).  Sometimes giving can be so much easier than asking for help.  But without me asking, without reaching my goal, I won’t be able to ride (I have 10 more days!).  And I don’t want that to happen – so please help!  I promise to continue sharing stories along the way.

Thank you in advance.  Thank you always for your support.

Here is the link to donate.  $727 more!!  Thank you, thank you, thank you!
