A thank you note goes a long way…

I received this thank you card in the mail this morning.  From my dry cleaner.  It was a note personally written from the manager, thanking me for choosing her company.  It was my first time there, and needless to say, I will now consider myself a loyal regular. It’s amazing how far a thank you note will go.  It was so simple, yet it meant enough for me to blog about!

Grateful for something or someone?  Maybe send them a thank you note.  Even if it’s just a post-it note left on the bathroom mirror, or a thoughtful text message.  You’d be surprised how far your small gesture will go.

Smile with your heart!

  1. Aww that’s so nice! I still have a yellow post-it note that my boyfriend left me one morning about a year ago when he got up and left early while I was still asleep ….it just says “I love you” and a smiley face, and it makes me smile every time I see it.

  2. Sometimes it’s the small things that can make all the difference. I received a thank you note from my dog groomer’s after I took her there for the first time, it meant alot that they took the time to write a note in it. So often I’ve thought of sending thank you notes but haven’t, I think it’s time I send them.

Thank you for continuing to write, it makes me smile when I see the note in my in box.

  3. My hairdresser randomly sends hand written cards in the mail, usually with a coupon for a 20% discount attached. Naturally, I keep going back :-)

  4. Wow! I just had a long talk with a colleague/mentor about my job/position and the emotional toll of balancing work/home/play etc. And being burnt out. And the lack of THANK YOUs at work. At the end of the conversation I told him about SWYH and what an inspiration you are. So I checked the blog for some inspiration. And what do I see? A post all about THANK YOU! amazing. THANK YOU for this blog and your daily dose of insight and inspiration.
