Day 28 – Just a little sad, that’s all

You’ve probably noticed I haven’t been writing.  It’s been the last thing on my mind lately.  Just a little sad.  Just feeling a little bit alone.  And tired of it.  No biggie.  I know it will pass, I’m just bearing through it.  Why is it that this time of year brings up certain emotions.  Unwelcomed emotions that seem to exaggerate themselves. Thanks loneliness.  For making me feel even lonelier than ever.  Thanks.  Maybe it’s a teacher in disguise.  Something to look deeper into.  To sit with, to understand.  Who knows.  All I know is that this too will pass.

Merry Christmas. :)

Smile with your heart!

  1. Sad to hear how you’ve been feeling lately but please know you’ve been missed in the blogging world. Getting an email with your posts always puts a smile on my face!!!

  2. I hear ya sister..I have been having the occasional pitty party for myself as well…

  3. Hi there Jenn … what I always love about your postings (whenever you feel like sending them which is part of what makes your voice so authentic and great … so don’t worry about when you send and when you don’t) is how honest you are … you are so NOT ALONE with these feelings, and it’s very good you acknowledged in your comments that this time of year brings up these feelings. I also wondered why something on Christmas Day that felt so much bigger felt so incidental the morning after. It’s a heady time of year — with all of the magic and the disappointment. Good to just call it what it is. Thanks for your voice, always. xoxox

    • Thank you Sue :) It always feels better knowing you’re not the only one! Weird how that is :)

      • Hi Jenn … remember the first time you felt that feeling “you mean I’m not the only one?”

        and so community begins …

thanks for the wonderful community you create with your beautiful voice … always interested in what you have to say!

  4. Hi Jenn,
This is a great time to focus on the accomplishments of 2011, and focus on setting an intention for 2012. :) That’s what I am up to for this week!

  5. I HEAR ya, Jenn! I spent most of Christmas weekend bawling my eyes out – what’s with that? Maybe this time of year brings out the sentimental side, maybe it’s the moon, maybe it’s the end-of-year build-up finally released. Like a cleanse, without the wheatgrass. Just remember that smiling with your heart doesn’t always mean you have to be smiling with your mouth!

  6. cara: jen is luved by so many beautiful people who cherish her truth and her heart and who always remind her of this! luv u beaufiul jen!

  7. Wishing you well and over here on the other coast, feeling a little sad too. The prospects of the new year always have me looking back and not so keen on the forward gaze. Asked myself on Christmas, can I give myself the gift of the present, this year. Let your heart be light.

  8. Love you lady! Be gentle with yourself and allow it things to work themselves out when they’re ready to. We’re here, smiling and supporting you through it all :)

  9. Lovely Lady in a big classroom. Pema Chodron quote> “the only way our is through”.
And so when we sit without the storyline, sit with lonliness and just cradle the feeling
without agenda, it usually lightens up simply because it was payed attention to.
    Namaste.

  10. Hey Jen
First off, your blog is amazing.
Secondly, I just wanted to write you a quick note that a friend of mine sent me when I was dealing with those feelings…. and still do from time to time…..
“Transfer the emptiness of loneliness, to the fullness of aloneness. At the innermost core of all loneliness is a deep and powerful yearning for union with ones lost self.”
I know I’m probably not the ear you want to seek, but its always here if you want it.
