Day 8 – Don’t ask ‘Why?’, ask ‘Why Not?!’

lululemon is one brilliant company.  They are a company that lives outside of your ordinary box and asks the question “why not?”.  For example, why not have everyone make their own Stanley Cup and host an outdoor yoga class the morning of each game right outside the office – on a major route into downtown where cars and buses are able to honk their horns in support and help the city come to life.  I don’t know if I’ve ever smiled during an entire yoga class.  Today was a first.  Goosebumps of inspiration.  Lighting up the city with goosebumps.  Amazing.  I’m so proud to be able to be a part of such an inspiring, uplifting, successful and AWESOME company!

Next time you have a brilliant idea and you find yourself pondering about ‘why’ you should do it, answer your ‘why’ question with this: ‘Why Not?!’  Why wouldn’t I do this?  Instead of, why should I train for this race or why should I strike up a conversation with a stranger or why should I donate money to this cause?  Instead of these questions, ask why not?!  Why not wear that bold outfit that expresses who you are?  Why not give up sugar and see what a dramatic difference it will make in your life (:))?  Why not have a way out there goal that will insist people to say, “you’re crazy!”.  Why not?  Plain is boring.  Ordinary is boring.  Think outside the box.  Who cares what anyone else thinks.  I’m learning this more and more the closer I get to the big 3-0.  Who cares what anyone thinks!  This is your life and you get to choose what you want.  Why not?!   Right?!

If you want to experience genuine, real happiness and be authentically true to yourself, stop caring what people think and play life differently.  The more why not’s you ask yourself, the more likely you’re thinking creatively and in-spirit.  Being true to yourself.  To who you really are.  Doing what you really want will bring about confidence, happier relationships, healthier mind-sets, more joy-full experiences and an addictive charismatic energy that will inspire and encourage the people around you to do the same.  Be bold.  Be different.  Think outside the box, and ask yourself why not?!

Smile with your heart!

Here’s some pictures of ‘Bring it Om lululemon!’ and the crazy downtown game night scene.  Why not join in on the band wagon this late in the season?  (ahem, I’m talking about myself!)  Get out there!
