Day 36 – Rolling with Gratitude!

Last night at 8:00, I received a phone call from a friend at Lululemon asking if I could work this morning at the head office at 9am.  She explained that it would be for a temp position which involved data entry, but it was a great way to get my foot in the door.  Guess where I was at 9am this morning, coffee in hand?!  Of course I said Yes!  It’s so strange lately how my life is flowing strongly in a certain direction.  It just feels right, and it feels fast.  Right now.  It feels that I don’t even have a chance to think of saying no.  Something powerful is leading me in this direction and I have to ACT.  Now.  I can’t sit back and wait.  I can physically feel this surge of energy pushing me into this life changing direction.  I can’t really describe it but I can definitely FEEL it.  Is it a coincidence that both managers at the hospitals I want to work at have both said, “we’d love to have you on, but we’re not hiring for another few weeks to a few months”?  Hmmm.  I’ll just take this as a sign that maybe I shouldn’t be forcing that path right now.  I’m just going with this intense energy that is making my soul fly high.  I guess that’s what it feels like when you’re doing what is right for the present moment.  It’s crazy how quickly our lives can change, and also how quickly our goals can become re-imagined.  It feels good!  Change is good!

Gratitude.  I have this little notebook titled, “The Secret Gratitude Book”.  On the left, I write what I’m already grateful for.  On the right, I write in PRESENT tense what I am grateful for which I want to bring into my life.  I write the date at the top, and then start with the words, “I am so thankful and grateful for….”.  I was looking back in my book today and noticed that the right sides of the pages throughout the notebook were for the majority checked off.  Almost everything that I have wanted in my life I have accomplished or brought into my life.  Many were not at the exact date (although many were), but I can say that I am grateful for it NOW, on the left side of the page.  I actually said a quiet, ‘wow’ out loud when I was noticing this.  Anything really is possible if we want it bad enough!

During this time in my life, I have made sure to continually give thanks whenever I can.  I have written a whole bunch of left pages as well as dreamed up and written down a whole bunch of right pages.  I know that it will all happen.  In perfect timing.  I have my DREAM JOB interview tomorrow and I have focused so strongly on believing that I already have this job.  I have been feeling the feelings of having this job, of being hired and already have visualized myself at work loving what I do.  I can feel it!!!  Please send me some of these feel good vibes tomorrow!

Here’s a few gratitude mantras from my notebook that maybe you might want to repeat a few times today: “I will see and experience abundance surrounding me today.  Thank you.”  And one that I will be focusing on! – “Thank you for the great news that is coming to me today“!!  Feel these feelings of gratitude and BELIEVE that you will feel this gratefulness.  BELIEVE IT and just roll with it!!!  I sure am!

Check out this painting that JC’s amazing husband Andrew made for me for my graduation – AMAZING!!!  He even wrote a little card of what the painting means, and how it represents me.  THANK YOU!!  They actually sent this in the mail for me, along with a whole bunch more love suprises.  I was going to take a picture of the massive package at Purolator but was too excited to open it, hence no picture.  I’m still smiling ear to ear!  I love you guys!!!  I am so grateful to have you both in my life!  And Quinn!!! The notebook that JC gave me already has a page full of goals (in present tense!).  I love what it says on the front:

First it begins inside your heart.  Something moves.  Then opens.  Then frees itself.  And now you feel a rhtyhm breaking its long silene.  This is going to be good.

Yeah it is!!  I’m rolling with this feeling of gratitude!!  Life is good!  Thank you Holly and Rebecca (my amazing stepmom!!) for donating all of these supplies for Clorinda’s trip to Peru!  Holly contacted me after reading my blog post and had a whole box of stuff to donate, including some socks for us to hand out.  THANK YOU!!!

Smile with your heart!  Try to be especially grateful today!

Good luck with the job interview… sending lots and lots of good vibes!

  5. I was given the gratitude book years ago for christmas from my best friend Ally. I thought it was great but wasn’t ready or open to it at the time. This past week i happened to dig it out of my bookshelf and started it:) I love the concept of it and all the quotes filtered through out. I thought originally i’d use it as a journal. I did even write one journal entry in it. But i think now it should go back to it’s original intentions and stick with being that:) I’m still on a hunt for a journal. Trying to find something i already have so i don’t have to buy one:)
