Day 39.5 – Christmas Adventure Night!

39.5?  Yes, that’s right.  I’m not ready for 40 days!!!  I counted wrong when I started the challenge, and I’m just not quite ready for it to be over!!  Oops!!  For some reason, we thought that 40 days ended this Friday, which is when Melissa and I booked our reward spa massage!  Ahhhhhh!  I can’t wait for that. So yes, we are holding off for 2 more days.  If your’e doing this challenge with me, that means you too get 2 more days to complete your goals!  If you come out tomorrow night to Lululemon with me for our vision board/goal setting night, you’ll take home some goals for the next 40 days.  I’m pretty sure this is going to become a regular 40 day thing, as I’ve never completed so many goals in such a short time period.  EVER!

Tonight was Christmas Adventure night with Michelle and I!  Both of us together means random adventures, all over the place.  Michelle’s husband Dan just expects to hear about all of the random things we do together.  If we tell him we’re going to climb a mountain, or walk around in the rain and look at Christmas trees he pretty much says, “Yep!  Okay, see you later”.  I love you Dan!  You get me!  I guess we try to find the fun in everything.

Michelle and I planned on going snowshoeing tonight with Melissa and Nat at Grouse, BUT we got discouraged by the rain and decided to go ice skating at Robson Square instead.  I’ve never been, and we both really enjoyed it!  Only 3$!  If you have your own skates, it’s free!  Michelle and I both have short attention spans, so the skating round and round thing didn’t last too long before we decided to move on.  I think Michelle said something like, “I hear there’s a big christmas tree outside the art gallery, want to go check it out?”  Of course I do!!!  So that’s just what we did.  We started on a Christmas tree adventure. Vancouver has definitely picked up it’s game since the Olympics – I have to say.  There’s so much out there!  We checked out this tree, then wandered over to the Hyatt to see the Gingerbread Displays (free!).  All of this in the pouring rain, warm hot chocolate in hand.  When you’ve got a rain jacket and gum boots on, it’s actually FUN getting wet.  Once you’re out there you forget about it anyways :)

After the Gingerbread smiley face picture, we went to Woodwards to look at the window displays.  There was only one there, but if you notice in the window of the picture there’s a map of the city which shows a whole bunch of other displays.  Why not go do a Christmas adventure?  It definitely got us in the Christmas spirit, and we got to enjoy each others company, gum boots and all.  I am so grateful for all of my amazing friends. Thanks for such a fun night Michelle!

Smile with your heart!
